The Model 1224 threads a wide range of pipe including black, galvanized and plastic coated types as well as stainless steel, intermediate metal conduit (IMC), heavy gauge conduit and rod with hardness up to 30 Rockwell C.
Characteristics
- An induction motor helps to reduce noise to a minimum.
- A special capacitor start and run motor allows the 1224 to thread a wide range of materials when experiencing voltage drops.
- 1/4"-2" Universal Die Head; 2 1/2"-4" recoil die head allows cutting straight or tapered BSPT/BSPP or NPT/NPSM threads.
- Constant and adequate lubrication of the dies and the workpiece through the head.
