Starrett 124M solid rod inside micrometer sets are the most popular inside micrometers due to their light weight, ease of use and reach. They are very useful for measuring interior diameters of cylinders and rings and measuring parallel surfaces.
The desired range is obtained by assembling rods and spacer collars in the micrometer head.
The measuring rods are provided with a shoulder that is precisely positioned on the micrometer head and locked in position. When assembling rods in heads A and B, the reading line on the micrometer head should be aligned with the mark on each rod (except 50-75 mm (2-3") rods).
Rod diameters are approximately 6 mm (1/4") in sizes A and B, and approximately 8.5 mm (11/32") in size C.
Each rod has individual length adjustment for the anvil using special wrenches supplied. 50-300 mm, 0.01 mm graduation, 10 Measuring Rods with Case.
