The Starrett Metric Thickness Gauge is used in the manufacturing and service of automotive, aviation, diesel and agricultural equipment, and also in jig, fixture, measurement and experimental work.
Especially useful for adjusting tappets, spark plugs, timing points, checking bearing clearances and gear play, mounting pistons, rings and pins and calibrating narrow grooves.
Manufactured in a wide range of types and sizes, each with 6 up to 26 sheets ranging in thickness from 0.0015 to 0.200" and 0.03 to 5 mm thick, straight or tapered.
Metric, 20 straight blades, 12.7 x 77 mm, 0.05 to 1.0 mm range.
